Outlook 2016 can only connect to Exchange using AutoDiscover feature. A special DNS record must be configured for your domain in order for you to take advantage of the Outlook 2016. Outlook 2016 profile cannot be created with Outlook profile helper tool or Single Sign-On tool. Outlook 2016 doesn't support manual setup for Exchange accounts. Open a new message. On the Options tab, click Colors, and pick the color set you want. To create your own set of colors, click Customize Colors. Click the button next to the theme color you want to change (for example, Accent 1 or Hyperlink ), and then pick a color under Theme Colors.

If you are a heavy Microsoft Office user, you might want to experiment with different display themes and find which of them is more suitable for you in terms of contrast and brightness.

Office 2016 / 2019 / 365 ships with three built-in background themes: Colorful, Dark Gray , Black and White. All of them looks pretty well, and choosing among them is a matter of personal preference.

Following these steps in order to modify your Office background theme and colors:

• Open any Microsoft Office 2016 application – this can be Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher and obviously Outlook.
• Hit File.
• From the Navigation bar, select Account.
• Sign in to Microsoft by providing your login credentials (similar to the ones you might use for Outlook.com or OneDrive).
• Select a background and office theme.
• Your preferences are associated with your account and hence be visible in every device you’ll use to access Office and Office 365.

I personally find the Dark Gray theme quite easy of the eye and use it happily since Office 2013 was first released.

You can create stationery using the Mail Format options. Keep in mind that you can alwayschange the stationery for individual messages.

1. On the File tab, click Options:

2. In the Outlook Options dialog box, on the Mailtab, click the Stationery and Fonts.. button:

3. In the Signatures and Stationery dialog box, on thePersonal Stationary tab, click the Theme.. button to choose stationery:

If you want to remove the default stationery, select the (No Theme) stationery.

4. Click OK.

When you create a new message, Outlook uses the stationery you selected as a visual template.

Changing Outlook Layout 2016

Note: If you need to apply a stationery to a single message, do the following:

1. On the Home tab, in the New group, clickNew Items:

2. In the New Items drop-down list, selectEmail Message Using, and then click More Stationery:

Microsoft Outlook creates a new message with the selected stationery.
