At the same time, its acceptable, and the only really bad voice actor is the mother. I don't know how accurate the translation is or how the sub compares, but the dub isn't too bad. I'm not certain the dub is legally available for free, but I think it may on hulu or youtube. |

I prefer the sub because I feel the VA for Lain was better at portraying the subtle differences in Lain's personality as the series progressed, but again, you can't go wrong with either.
